A few Facts about Fetal Development:
Conception: A new life is created!
Week 3 - The baby’s heart is beating!
Week 5 - Fingers are forming. Brain waves can be measured at 6 weeks.
Week 10 - The baby’s little feet are perfectly shaped.
Week 15 - Baby’s movements can be felt by the mother.
Weeks 20 - 23 - The baby responds to the sound of its mother’s voice.
Week 25 - Structures of the spine begin to form -- joints, ligaments.
Week 26 - Brain wave activity for hearing and sight begins to be detectable.
Week 28 - Lungs are capable of breathing now.
Week 32 - All five senses are working.
Week 36 - Baby has a fully developed pair of kidneys
Weeks 39-40 – Lungs are maturing and baby will arrive any day.
